Join me for a peaceful day of sketching in the characterful and varied Durham city. A place I return to again and again for its timeless charm and beautiful sketching spots.

With the helter-skelter architecture, winding river, and mix of old and new, Durham has a lot to offer us as artists. We’ll wander, sketch, and soak it all in—no rush, no pressure, just a day of relaxed creativity.

It’s easy to reach by car or rail, and well worth the journey if you’re craving a change of scenery and a fresh page in your sketchbook.

• 5 hours of relaxed, hands-on tuition in a small group with Toby

Terms & Conditions

• Cancellations can be made up to 4 weeks before the event for a full refund. After that point, bookings are non-refundable.
• If we need to cancel the workshop for any reason, you’ll receive a full refund. This might be due to truly awful weather, for example, but only if no indoor location can be found that is suitable.
• As these are outdoor, weather-dependent events, an exact itinerary and meeting point will be emailed 1 week before the workshop (but is subject to change).
• Timings are approximate, we will start on time, have around a 30 minute break and aim to end approximately on time but might be a little late.
